Regenerative Medicine: A Novel Approach to Combat Major Diseases and Address Aging
Regenerative medicine is a crucial strategy for treating major diseases and tackling the challenges associated with aging. It holds great potential on addressing major health issues, such as tumors, Parkinson's disease, and genetic disorder, which traditional treatments have difficulties to resolve. This field is also a focus of international competition.
Building on its foundational work, CRMH aims to further explore and develop innovative theories and applications, and establishes an advanced technological framework, aimed on regenerative medicine and centered on cellular and genetic approaches, to address significant health concerns, including cancer, hereditary diseases, epilepsy, and depression.
In the coming five years, with the aim of continuing to promote the globalization of research and achievements in regenerative medicine, CRMH will concentrate on critical health issues such as cancer and neurological diseases, along with innovative regenerative medicine-based therapy strategies, including cell therapy, gene therapy, and peptide-based drugs.
In the long term, CRMH aims to promote collaboration in the fields of biomedicine and healthcare in the region through China‘s Belt and Road Initiative. We will also enhance biomedical research to address key public health issues in the Greater Bay Area.
